Typical Session/Costs
The client is made comfortable in a reclining chair in a safe, quiet, relaxing environment and will be asked to remove footwear and socks prior to receiving reflexology.
An examination of the feet is made before the session commences. Some relaxation techniques are used to make the client feel calm and relaxed and this is important, particularly for the initial session, for the client to become used to having their feet touched. The thumbs and fingers are then used to contact the reflexes. Additionally, cream and knuckles are used for the Advanced Reflexology techniques where deeper access to the reflexes can be made.
The first session can take up to 1½ hours as the first part is spent taking a medical history, discussing diet and lifestyle, and what are the expectations from the session. All subsequent sessions should normally last about 1 hour but I am always happy to spend longer should a client feel the need.
